Brief:
This is a highlight reel featuring the best drivers of Formula Drift. Notable drivers: Tanner Foust (Rockster Energy Drink, Toyota), Rhys Millen (Red Bull, Hyundai), and Vaughn Gitten Jr. (Monster Energy, Ford). Irwindale is known to be one of the best race tracks in the country and a Champion is crowned here once a year.

Challenges:
Racing is a very interesting sport. You can never really predict what will happen at any event. One of the biggest challenges of filming racing is you have to expect the unexpected because engines blow up, cars crash, oil leaks, fires blazes and cars spin out. Every race course and event is different. Positioning and finding the right vantage point to shoot is always a gamble. Most importantly, having extra shooters is the best way to cover the race course. There are a few areas that video shooters are allowed to have access to, understanding when and where to shoot is crucial.

Goals:
Cover the most ground with the cars and the drivers. Get the most shots during practice and find the best shots before the main event. Biggest goal is to shoot to edit.

Solutions:
Formula Drift and their drivers need to review clips and footage for video edits. The solution is to find the best shots and provide video footage to wherever needed by using the skills of camera work and composition.
